The Stormer was developed primarily to counter the threat of attack helicopters and low flying aircraft. Equiped with the Starstreak High Velicity Missile (HVM) system and a roof mounted panoramic weapon sight and an Air Defence Alerting Device for target recognition and prioritisation the Stormer is capable of rapid engagement. Armed with eight ready to fire missiles and additional missiles stowed inside the vehicle, the missiles travel at more than three times the speed of sound and each missile contains three darts to make multiple strikes on a target, making the Stormer an extremely effective weapon system.
