The Observation Post Variant (OPV) of the Warrior armoured combat vehicle is used by artillery observers to acquire and engage targets. Equipped with thermal imaging, laser range finder, battlefield surveillance radar and navigation equipment to accurately target the enemy, and to detect and recognize helicopters and slow fixed-wing aircraft, vehicles and troops, as well as observing and adjusting the fall of shot. It has excellent cross-country mobility and is in service with all the AS90 regiments.
